Data usage/data protection agreement

Fressnapf Tiernahrungs GmbH (hereafter known as Fressnapf) places great importance on protecting your personal data. We only collect, store and process personal information in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Our websites may contain links to websites from other retailers, which are not covered by this privacy policy. We cannot assume liability for the privacy practices of third parties.

Data collection and storage

When you visit a page on www.fressnapf.de, your browser sends information about the browser type, browser version and operating system you use, the referrer URL, the IP address, the file names, the access status, the amount of data transferred and the date and time of the server request. This information is not linked to a person or other data sources. It is collected anonymously and deleted after statistical analysis.

Cookies

Like many websites, we also use "cookies" (small packets of data containing configuration information, such as your IP address or browser information) in order to improve our website. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Limitations on the use and distribution of personal information/personalised advertising/user profiles

Fressnapf collects, stores and uses personal data for the sole purpose of processing and completing order and payment transactions in relation to Fressnapf's mail order business, for posting classified advertisements and in holding competitions at www.fressnapf.de, for subscribing to the newsletter and in miscellaneous areas to the extent permitted by law. We will only collect your e-mail address or telephone number for competitions so that we can inform you if you win. The e-mail address you provide when signing up for the newsletter will only be used for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time.

If you become a member of one of our communities (including the puppy club), or open a customer account with us, we will also use your user and content data to combine these with your inventory data in order to create a pseudonymised user profile, unless you request that we don’t. In doing so you will enable us to pass on information to you that is, for example, specifically related to the breed, age and gender of your pet or to one of your favourite products or product groups, thereby allowing us to arrange our services in a way that is more attractive and interesting to you.

Following the order process, we will forward your e-mail address to our commissioned data processor eKomi Ltd, Markgrafenstr. 11, 10969 Berlin, Germany, who will send you an e-mail to rate our products on our behalf.

Under no circumstances will the data be distributed to a third party.

Requesting information and right of revocation

You may request Fressnapf to inform you of the personal information we have about you, if any. You have the right to revoke your consent to the storage and usage of your personal data and/or your user profile at any time. Contact us at Fressnapf Tiernahrungs GmbH, Westpreußenstr. 32-38, 47809 Krefeld, Germany, or send an e-mail to info@fressnapf.com.

According to the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz), you are entitled to obtain information relating to your stored data, as well as to correct, block or delete this data if necessary, free of charge.

Our data protection representative is happy to assist you if you have any questions on how we process your personal data, are interested in obtaining related information, or if you have other questions or a complaint.
